With the objective of obtaining agricultural tools/supplies and home necessities, and for the want of a location within the city of Ixtepec, we took advantage of the opportunity to build ourselves a hardware store.  In addition to this hardware store in Ixtepec there is a UCIRI office and a place to stay for those who have not managed to make the trip back up into the mountains.  The hardware store also supplies the necessary materials for the COW (Communally Organized Work) project warehouse, and if UCIRI members present their credentials at the time of purchase, they receive a 20% discount.
