The organizational experience of UCIRI has provided us with opportunities to transform our region.

We have expanded our organization into a number of different areas that help us to better our lives.

We have never wanted to work exclusively to better the price of coffee, our principal product, but we also wish to pursue other projects of importance to our lives.

We are peasant farmers (campesinos) who grow and produce for ourselves and our country not only coffee for export, but also corn and beans for our financial livelihoods.

We work so that we may provide our families with sufficient and necessary means with which to live dignified lives.
